Legal information
Terms of Use
These terms govern authorized access to the Solarbroom web-interface during early development, prototype evaluation, and internal testing.
Scope and access
The interface is intended only for users authorized by roofpower GmbH for an approved development, demonstration, support, or prototype-evaluation purpose. Access is personal, limited to the assigned role and controllers, and may be changed, suspended, or withdrawn for security, safety, legal, operational, or project reasons.
Accounts and acceptable use
Users must provide accurate account information, keep credentials confidential, prevent unauthorized use, and report suspected compromise or misuse without delay. Users must not bypass access controls, disrupt or probe the service, introduce harmful material, access another user's or controller's data, or use the interface unlawfully or outside the approved purpose.
Physical controller and site safety
Commands and automated settings can move or otherwise affect physical prototype equipment. The interface does not replace on-site supervision, physical guards, emergency controls, instructions, or legally required safety measures. Site operators and authorized users remain responsible for safe installation and operation, keeping people clear of moving equipment, water and electrical safety, maintenance, physical access, local emergency procedures, and compliance with applicable rules.
Do not issue a command unless the site and equipment are safe. Use the local emergency procedure or physical stop where necessary, and do not rely on network access or the interface as the only safety measure.
Changes, updates, and availability
Prototype functions, configuration, data formats, and software may change. Authorized administrators may deploy or schedule software and security updates to assigned controllers. The interface or controller connection may be interrupted for development, testing, updates, maintenance, faults, or security reasons.
No guaranteed availability, support level, maintenance window, response time, compatibility, or continued feature set is provided unless agreed separately in writing.
Data, confidentiality, and intellectual property
Personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Users must not enter personal, confidential, or third-party information that is unnecessary for the approved purpose and must protect non-public prototype and diagnostic information.
The interface, software, documentation, branding, and prototype materials remain protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Access grants only a limited, revocable right to use them for the approved purpose; it does not transfer ownership or permit copying, reverse engineering, distribution, or commercial use except where mandatory law or written permission allows it.
Warranty and liability
The prototype and interface are provided as-is for development and evaluation to the extent permitted by law. Users and site operators must independently assess whether a function, setting, command, or output is suitable and safe before relying on it.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or any other liability or mandatory right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Any further warranty, liability, or service commitment requires a separate written agreement.
Applicable law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies. The competent courts at the registered seat of roofpower GmbH have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory law, consumer protection, or jurisdiction right that applies and cannot validly be waived.
